Boyd Ashworth’s custom “Thomas C. Turtle” models won Best Miniature Folder® awards at two consecutive Blade Shows. These innovative little jewels were marked by the use of Boyd’s own Damascus steels and exotic materials such as mother-of-pearl, wooly mammoth, fossil walrus, and gold. Consequently, you could spend close to four figures to own one.

CRKT® liked the concept of the pendant/money clip knife and worked with Boyd to create a production Ashworth Turtle™ series. This is a useful knife suited to hundreds of daily tasks from clipping recipes to opening packages or sharpening pencils. The 1.0" Razor-Sharp stubby spear point blade is polished 3Cr13 stainless at 52-55 Rc. Just press the blade tang to open with either hand.

Instead of exotic handle scale materials, the backs of CRKT’s little Turtles are made of today’s advanced CPL composites, used widely in modern bowling balls. This material is exceptionally strong and tough and can be injection molded in an almost infinite variety of colors and swirl patterns. We are offering four colors: black, green, blue and white. Because of the molding process, the swirl patterns vary considerably, so every Turtle is unique. The frame is high-carbon stainless steel, in a polished finish or with a black anthracite titanium nitride coating. Each Turtle is convertible. It comes with two CPL handle scales and a polished stainless money clip. To wear as a pendant (chain not included), simply fold out the hidden loop and attach it to your chain. To use as a money clip, remove either of the handle scales and replace it with the money clip. Measures only 2.0" closed and weighs only 1.3 oz. Gift boxed. Made in Taiwan.
