When manufacturing knives, there will always be a few which have imperfections and do not meet our standards of quality. Many of these knives make really good using knives. We have always marked these knives with a notch in the blade and sold them at a few knife shows and in our store here in Rogers. The volume of these knives has always been small and mostly they have accumulated on our shelves.

All of these knives are marked with the 2nds notch behind the kick of the main blade on the folders and on the ricasso or choil of the fixed blade knives. All of them are fully functional. The problems on most knives are cosmetic and minor, just enough that we could not sell them as first quality. On others, the problem is minor rust.

Please keep in mind that the quantities will vary, some models will be very limited and will last only a short time. Some will be added back at a later time as they are available again. Just check the site regularly.

These are great values and we make the same guarantee as on the regular knives in the catalog. The only thing we ask is that if you give them as gifts, please let the recipient know that they are 2nds so they don't return the knife to us when they discover a chip in the pearl handle. It is very embarrassing to your friend when we have to point out that the blade is notched and explain that the knife was purchased as a 2nd.
